The Pan/Parapan American Games Athletes' Village is situated in the West Don Lands, a new waterfront community located east of downtown Toronto. The Athletes' Village will offer athletes, coaches and team officials comfortable lodging and a home away from home during the Games. Once the Games are over, the Village will provide Toronto residents with a range of options in of options in housing, retail and recreational facilities. Net Electric Limited, in partnership with EllisDon Ledcor PAAV Inc, was contracted to participate in this unique design-build project. All electrical, life-safety and telecommunication systems will be supplied, installed and commissioned well in advance of the Games and retrofitted for residential and commercial spaces afterwards. These systems include all feeders, branch wiring, interior and exterior lighting, fire alarm, security, data, voice, CCTV and CATV networks.
